super mini haul & review!

went to my work today and stopped by @ Paul & Joe counter.
the summer collection was luring me in~ it's so cute!! i didn't
want to buy it yet until the end of this month~

anyways, stopped by at MAC counter at Macy's and apparently their summer collection
"To the Beach" didn't launched yet, although i was invited to the launching!! hurray!!! i was so mad yesterday went online about 4:00 in the afternoon and checked out Mac "To the Beach" collection and the highlighter was SOLD OUT!! i guess its a must have, and now i can't wait for the product launching.

anyways, bought a lipstick and a cream liner from Clinique.

cream liner, mac lipstick in "cherish", P&J lipstick #28, and squeeze!

i think mostly MAC addict has cherish color right?

cherish is a peachy beige! really pretty color! and the other swatch is P&J #28 more of a peachy color doesn't really show on my lips so i gave it to my sister.

i've been wanting to try out Clinique's cream liner. supposedly smudgeproof and waterproof, which i badly need!

water resistant
comes w/ a mini brush
glides on smoothly
very pigmented

comes in a plastic container (supposedly dries fast versus a glass container)
the brush is too small to use

made few strikes w/ the mini brush that came w/ it. (not really liking the brush)

my first smudge using my fingers.. (this liner is a toughy~)

then rubbed the liner using my fingers, amazingly it won't come off after that so i had to use a makeup remover.

RATING: 8/10

until next time~

May favorites!

May is such a busy day for me, sorry if i lack of post =(
i've realized how much i was in love w/ few of my makeup items!
the mini cute superheroes that i use all the time.. my makeup necessities that i don't need to think twice of using/wearing.

products: (clockwise)
Paul & Joe dual foundation - #30
Revlon colorstay - toast
Maybelline Volum express mascara - black
Loreal lineur - black mica
Mac prep+prime eye - medium
Mac (G.M.L.L.) - peachstock
Mac (G.M.L.L.) lipglass- frankly fresh
Mac eyeshadow - cork & all that glitters

my saviors!!

Maybelline Volum express mascara is one of the best mascare i've ever used.
although the new one's cover is black ( see here ) i always prefer the silver cover.. this mascare doesn't only open my eyes but keep my eyelashes stay 'curvy' even if i sweat a ton (you know how the lashes goes flat back due to humidity).

i really like the brush applicator.

when i just couldn't decide on what color dou shadows to wear these two shadows immediately pops into mind.. they just look really good together..

cork & all that glitters.

compliments brown eyes really well.

although, there are few great drugstore brand alternatives for cheap out there.
( i think i should start a column w/ "alternatives for cheap" brands.. hmmph~ i guess i should)

just started using BT Green Tea makeup remover and topped my list of best cleanser
for cheap.

really refreshing! i love how i smell the tea extract when applying.

on a second note..

i was reading trough May issue of ALLURE magazine and just can't take my eyes away on the nail polish mixes that was worn by models on MARC BY MARC JACOBS runway.

it was mixes of dark gray/green/white etc.. apparently named by Marc Jacob himself "greige" gray w/ beige undertone.

it took me a while to look for a cheap alternative rather than mixing many colors together which i don't have.. finally one day found it in a counter of Rimmel.

lasting finish pro in "steel gray"!

have a great day everyone~
til next time! =)

loreal metamorphosis palette

i haven't seen quite few reviews on this palette, apparently i was walking down makeup aisle on SM and found this gorgeous palette. it was at the counter of "LOREA'L" products, mostly are from asia or europe country. this was made in france and i haven't seen this anywhere else where i live. this palette debuted in 2008 but i guess it happened to be in the counter for me to see and do a review on. fyi: lorea'l also carries lancome.

really gorgeous packaging.

the palette comes with four shimmery eyeshadows and 4 glistening lipglosses.

the palette is a trifold the shadow on the other side and lipgloss on the other
which the mirror and applicator is center.

from left to right: shimmery blue/green (turquoise), pearly peach, shimmery brown, pearly pink.

very pigmented colors, summer is almost here, perfect combination look for the beach.

from left to right: sheer pink, glossy mauve brown, sheer lilac, glossy red.

i really like the reddish color, reminds me of lorea'ls H.I.P. jelly balm in "ripe".

this palette is a travel size, compared to my mac lipstick this won't cost any trouble adding it w/ my travel necessities.

also, saw this cute packaging of lipgloss from NYX.

the cap embedded w/ a cute ribbon! super cute!

frosted beige a peachy beige color! i love how the words in front is different, just simply cute.

thnks for reading!

Mother's day + review

first of all HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all mothers out there.

today was bittersweet, so much going on but in the end everything worked out

i made a reservation at this hotel restaurant but forgot to bring my identification work card so i could get my discount. we ended up eating at one of my favorite italian restaurant "Capriciosa". great atmosphere, server, and great food.

my favorite! fried calamari

my sister's order - chicken mushroom alfredo pasta
the best pasta evahh~ seafood pasta! yumm

and of course ordered my mom cookie cake, apparently had to add my sister's bday there too.. last week was her birthday and she didn't have cake so might as well celebrate two special days.

haha! my nephew wanted a piece so i had to give him a slice.

again, happy momma day!!

haul + review

Paul and Joe dual foundation w/ spf #30-clear
the sponge applicator works best when using wet.

protects against sunburn
to be used wet or dry
cute packaging
covers well

a bit pricey
doesn't cover blemishes or dark spot

i love how the powder comes w/ description of what contains in the powder.

went to macy's the other day and picked some shadows and one from the collection.

counterclockwise: satin taupe, (prep for color) hey!, and woodwinked

'prep for color' hey is a warm midtone beige, its a veluxe pearl
so highly pigmented.

this e/s is also almost similar to All that Glitters.

left: hey right: all that glitters

although all that glitters is a tad pinkish.

left: hey right: all that glitters

and also bought two of few of the best selling e/s from mac.
i was recommended by many mac S.A. of buying "satin taupe" since i love neutral and browns so much. and here i go and bought one including woodwinked.

left: woodwinked right: satin taupe

very pigmented colors.

thnk you for reading! til next time.
